The Minority Advantage

Feeling like a stranger in a strange land is one thing. Feeling like an outsider in your home town is something else. Today I take a look at this politically incorrect aspect of human nature.

On the first level, realize that others in your community likely feel the same way you do and reach out to them to cement relationships and alliances by appealing to the “you’re like me” aspect.

The second level takes a bit more self mastery, which makes it doubly valuable. Overcome the lizard brain, analyse your fear and take the calculated risk. Which honestly is very small in most cases. Reach out to other groups and cliques. Look for common ground. Grow trust and friendships and tap a huge new market for business and friends.
